Application Form (Clergy)

Please download the application form by clicking here, and send the completed form with the other required documentation to clerk@cleaver.org.uk.

Applicants must be committed to a traditional Catholic understanding of the priesthood and the episcopate. They are asked to submit a brief ecclesiological statement expressing their understanding of the place of the Church of England (or the Anglican church to which they belong) within the Universal Church, and to show evidence that they belong to the tradition which the Fund exists to support.

Candidates must ask their referees to write directly to the Clerk. Applications from overseas clergy must be forwarded by the applicant's bishop and with his support. The Clerk will not contact referees to solicit references.

Application forms and supporting documentation are circulated to the trustees two weeks before each meeting. The cut-off dates for receipt of applications and references in 2017 are:
                       7 February, 3 May, 6 July, and 23 October

The Trustees are not required to give reasons for refusing to make a grant to any applicant, and the Clerk will not enter into any correspondence about this.

Documents should be submitted electronically where possible, with attachments in Word or pdf format.
